The Mummy

I could not understand why the film was panned by critics as the opening 15 - 30 minutes was really quite encouraging.  Yes, it did have two of my least favourite actors in Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe but the effects were quite impressive and there seemed to be a little humour.

Then the honeymoon was over and it began to stink.

Disjointed, formulaic and just plain lazy, this rapidly turned into a zombie film (my least favourite genre, ever, except for Shaun of the Dead) and it didn't get any better.

I'd not have been happy to have paid to see this at the cinema.
