Hollywood Horrors

It seems tinsel town is fearing the worst this summer as box-office predictions indicate the first weekend of May through to September takings will be down 5% - 10% on last year.  That’s a total loss of $450 million the worst in a decade.

It doesn't take much to work out why as we can "look forward" to such sparklers as:
  • Pirates of the Caribbean (5)
  • Transformers (5)
  • Alien (6)
  • Planet of the Apes (3)
which are all sequels or franchises.

I've said it time again, while they feed us dull, unimaginative CGI fuelled fodder, we will continue to turn our backs on them.  Start making some new and original stuff with fresh faces, good plots and proper acting and you'll see me back at the cinema again.

The ball's in their court.
