Doctor Who

We used to be fans of the original series with Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker but then it kind of petered out and we never really got around to seeing the revamped Dr Who.

Until last night when we kicked off with Christopher Ecclestone's take on the time lord.

Fresh, modern, witty and far better than I hoped for, this is one series that we are looking forward to getting into and with Billie Piper as his sidekick being an ideal wing man, it promises much.

On another note, we watched the pilot to UFO a production from Gerry Anderson of The Thunderbirds fame.  All the memories came flooding back with their take on the future (1980!) but I think it would have been better with puppets as the acting would have been less wooden.
