Old vs New

Agatha Christie's "Witness for the Prosecution" was the updated two-parter for the BBC this last year and I thought it was fine.  Until I saw the original 1957 film last night.

How much better was the black and white offering?  It won hands down on all fronts with a better cast, finer acting, much better script, no silly/moral ending and all round a superior offering.

I am so pleased I watched the new one first as the original was almost a different story.
