Due to a shortened season next year to help England prepare for the 2018 World Cup (I suspect they will need a bit more than that...), fixture congestion over the festive period is likely to be even worse than before, as some clubs may end up playing six games in 17 days from 16th December 2017 to 1st January 2018 inclusive.
|Draft schedule 2017-18|
|Saturday 16 December 2017||Wednesday 20 December 2017|
|Saturday 23 December 2017||Tuesday 26 December 2017|
|Saturday 30 December 2017||Monday 1 January 2018|
I'll bet any money you like, Spurs will still end up playing after everyone else. Mind you, my banging on aside, it certainly didn't get reflected in our results- maybe we play better when we have to catch up?
