Talking in the Air

Nearly nine out of ten British travellers are opposed to the introduction of mobile phone calls on flights, following Virgin Atlantic’s announcement that it will become the first British airline to launch the service.

The vast majority of those questioned (86%) said they would object to passengers making voice calls as “it’s annoying to listen to other people’s conversations” and nearly half said they would use the service, but only to send text messages.  A further 10% said they would send emails, but just 6% said they would make or receive voice calls.
