Buying Tickets
On board both the bus and boat, you'll meet up with the conductress who has this rather neat portable cash till.
It's a long cylindrical, metal tube that has a spring loaded hinge, which pops open to house both coins and tickets. These guys are so expert that they can take your fare, drop the coins in, pull off the required amount of tickets and use the leading edge of the canister to tear the ticket almost in half (thus showing you have paid and used your ticket) in one fluid movement that takes place in the wink of an eye.
All without going AoT (arse over tit) on a moving vehicle and yet with the customary friendly smile. Remarkable.
