112 is the universal emergency number to call if in serious trouble, either directly or as a witness to an accident or similar. Learn it, use it.

ReplyDeletein poland 112 simply directs your call to nearest police station. comparing to old system with separate numbers for each service (ambulance, fire brigade, police) the new one is dead slow and usually it takes very long until the officer answers the phone. moreover, policeman has poor medical knowledge and usually can't advise you with i.e. resuscitation instructions.
it takes a smart guy to screw the emergency call system. i wonder why?
