The Chosen Few

The historic cathedral city of Canterbury in Kent is requesting that French school trips stay away from the area as they "arrive by the coach-load, spray their hair green and squirt silly string in the street". The Lib Dem councillor continued by stating: "What we need is quality tourism and people who come for a few days and stay in our hotels."

Quite. Let's hope Spain, the Greek islands, Portugal, Turkey and many of the emerging East European countries feel the same way about the British lager swilling louts who think it is "cultural" to get blind drunk, start riots and terrorise the locals for a bit of fun.

Give me silly string any day of the week.
