You Say "Tomato"

And I say put the nasty little things in the bin.

Isn't it odd that the tomato is factually classified as a fruit and yet the melon is a vegetable?

Go figure.

  1. that's because EU claims that juices are made of fruits only. there are also common tomato juices.

same thing with bottles. before the EU integration, vodka was sold in "quarters", meaning 0,25l. now we're forced to sell it in 200ml bottles, and they are still traditionally called quarters :)

  2. I don't think that the EU is responsible for that. Beer is still sold in 0.33l bottles in Germany and England you still get your pints. I guess the vodka producers have just done a hidden price rise, if you compare old and new prices.

P.S.: Yes, I am still alive, but have seen better days ;)

  3. beer is a differend story. we hold our traditional 0,5l bottles but also accepted 0,33l bottles.

by the way, on wedding party i've seen carlsberg beer in 0,33l pepsi-like cans. i haven't supposed it's such a great idea to drink 0,33 instead of 0,5l, being opressed by a bloody vodka. precisely planned action took me and ola to "save" 6 of them for the next day... lovely woman :)
